With over 18 years experience in software design and 26 years of owning, managing and working with restaurants we know the food service business. We have several technicians, customer support staff and programmers all who came from the food service business. All of us at RMS have a working knowledge of food service operations and accounting. Our History
RMS Software was began in 1987 by a restaurant manager after several years of trying to keep track of inventory and purchases on paper. Frustrated with trying to keep prices current and figure food cost each month as well as expenses he started learning how to program computers. Starting with inventory he developed a database to make it easy to keep his inventory organized and prices up to date. Soon after he developed another database for invoices to track expenses and then another to cost out recipes and menu items. Over the years more features were added to help run restaurants more efficiently and give detailed information with very little effort.

Restaurant owners and managers around the local area soon started coming by to see the software and how it could help them run their restaurants better. Word soon spread to other cities and operators began calling and ordering the program. What started out as an idea by a restaurant manager quickly grew into a full time business with sales across the US, Canada, Australia and South America. Some of the largest hotel chains use our software in locations around the globe.
